Probashi Shubidha (NRB beneficiary) Account
This is a specialized account for Non-Resident Bangladeshis where the remitter can open an account for the Beneficiary. The beneficiary can then avail all the services offered by BRAC Bank such as: SMS Banking, Phone Banking, and Internet Banking etc. When the beneficiary’s account is setup, the Remitter just requires the account number, and amount of money to be sent to make a safe, fast and efficient transaction. Transaction is completed within 6 hours of receiving instructions.

Apply Eligibility
- Any beneficiaries who are 18 years of old and receive money from abroad are eligible to have this account. The account will be on the beneficiary’s name. {A minor (below 18 years of age) can open an account, but along with his legal guardian.}
- The NRB Should have legal resident / work permit.

Required Documents for A/C Opening
For Individual/Joint Account:
Document for Proof of Iidentification:
- 3 copies of passport size photo
- Photocopy of the first 6 pages of valid passport
- Photocopy of the valid work permit/employment visa (duly attested)
At Least one of the Following Documents (Photocopy):
- Utility Bill
- Driving License
- Residence Permit (Govt. issued Identity card)
- Credit Card Bills
- Rent Receipt
- Overseas Bank Statement
- Work ID
- Pay Slip
Proof of Address:
- Address on Passport
- Overseas Bank Statement (bank passbook will not be considered as a valid address proof)
- Rent Receipt along with duly stamped / registered lease deed. Lease deed should be valid as on date of account opening.
- Letter from existing banker, this letter should clearly specify that the mentioned address is the customer’s communication address and period of relationship with the bank which should be more than 3 months
- Utility Bill, i.e. Electricity Bill, Landline telephone bill, Gas connection Bill, Water connection Bill.
- Driving license, ID issued by Government.
- In order to open the account, beneficiaries have to provide the following information:
- 2 copy of the beneficiary’s photograph
- 1 copy of the nominee’s photograph
- Proof if identity (Passport, photo ID etc)
- Utility bill
- Completed account opening form. -Driving license, ID issued by Government.

1. What is Probashi Shubidha Account?
- This is a derivative of the existing Ezee (Current) account with a minor difference. The initiation of opening the account can be done by the remitter himself. The product code of this product is 10.
2. Who will be authorized to introduce the account?
- FLA’s will be responsible to act as an introducer and also the initial signatory before the CSM and BM in the account opening form.
3. Who are eligible to have this account? And who will be the account holder?
- Any beneficiaries who receive money from abroad are eligible to have this account. The account will be on the beneficiary’s name.
4. What is the interest rate of this account?
- The interest rate of this account is 4% on daily balance paid every half yearly.
5. What are the documentations required to open the account?
- In order to open the account, beneficiaries have to provide the following information:
- 2 copy of the beneficiary’s photograph
- 1 copy of the nominee’s photograph
- Proof if identity (Passport, photo ID etc)
- Utility bill
- Completed account opening form.
The FLA’a will only tick the Ezee account box of the account opening form and while sending the documents will have to put a seal marked ‘Probashi Shubidha Account’ on the applications to give them a priority status for CSD to work.
The FLA will receive the account opening approval from the Branch Manager or the Customer Service Manager.
6. How will the account be opened?
- Step-1. A mail would be sent to the FLA’s about the beneficiary name, phone number and amount from Probashi Service Centre (PSC). PSC will also inform the beneficiary about what documentation will be required to open the account via phone.
- Step-2. Beneficiary visits the branch and meets the FLA.
- Step-3. The FLA of the designated branch will collect the documentation and delivers the welcome pack to the client and get the account opening form filled out
- Step-4. The FLA gets approval of the BM or CSM to open the account.
- Step 5. Once approval is received the FLA will put a seal (which will be provided for every FLA) stating that this is an application for ‘Probashi Shubidha Account’ and send it to CSD to activate the account on a priority basis. The FLA informs PSD to transfer the amount to the account stated on the welcome pack and also informs Probashi Service Center, who will inform CSD to activate the account.
- Step-6. The beneficiary will then collect the PIN number from the branch and activate the card after 72 hours via calling the ATM help desk.
7.What if the beneficiary does not want to open the account?
- If the beneficiary does not wish to open account and just wants to collect his/her money, PSC will inform PSD to issue pay cash instruction and inform the branch via mail. The beneficiary can then collect the Pay Cash within 24 hours after his/her disapproval to open account.
