For many, SME Banking is one of BRAC Bank's toughest frontline businesses. For Golapi Aktar, it became the place where she chose to build an entire career. She joined the Mirpur SME unit as a Relationship Officer in 2015 during one of the most difficult periods of her personal life, balancing grief with the responsibilities of new motherhood. Yet she remained committed to serving entrepreneurs and growing within the business she believed in. Through years of perseverance and consistent performance, she rose to become BRAC Bank's only female Territory Manager in SME Banking. Her journey is more than a personal achievement—it reflects BRAC Bank's belief that leadership is defined by talent, determination and performance, while inspiring more women to build careers in the Bank's flagship SME business.
