Tashmeem Muntazir Chowdhury has played a defining role in shaping BRAC Bank's sustainable finance journey. As Head of ESF and Sustainable Finance, he established the bank's Sustainable Finance function and has led landmark initiatives that positioned BRAC Bank at the forefront of sustainable banking in Bangladesh. His leadership enabled the issuance of the country's first-ever Social Subordinated Bond worth Tk 1,000 crore and helped make BRAC Bank the first and only bank in Bangladesh to join the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), strengthening transparency in measuring financed greenhouse gas emissions. By embedding sustainability into business strategy, he has helped create lasting value for customers, communities and the environment while positioning BRAC Bank on the global sustainability map.
