When Syed Niaz Ahmed joined BRAC Bank as a Management Trainee in 2007, he began a journey that would help shape one of the bank's most significant public sector relationships. During Bangladesh's foreign currency crisis, he played a key role in mobilising a landmark USD 250 million credit facility for Petrobangla, supporting the country's LNG imports at a critical time for national energy security. The trusted partnership has since facilitated more than USD 2.44 billion in LNG transactions while strengthening BRAC Bank's position in public sector banking. Today, as Head of Relationship Unit 10, Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking, his journey reflects how strong relationships, built on trust and long-term commitment, can create lasting value for both the Bank and the nation.
