3. What is the new Premium Banking Criteria?

To become a member of the Premium Banking segment, customers' total deposit balance needs to be:

BDT 30 Lac or above in any Savings/Current Account.
BDT 50 Lac or above in Term Deposit and/or Savings/Current Account.

4. How can a customer open an account?

A customer can open an account through the digital platform's eKYC channel (eKYC - BRAC Bank PLC) with the assistance of our Relationship Manager. Alternatively, they can receive a fully personalized service from our expert Relationship Manager via hard copy.

5. Are Debit cards & chequebooks available?

Yes. A customer is entitled to a VISA multi-currency Platinum debit card (for Premium Banking customers) and a VISA multi-currency Signature debit card (for Premium Banking Plus customers).

6. What are the fees and charges related to the account/chequebook/debit card?

7. What is the maximum rate a customer can earn from a savings account?

A customer can enjoy the highest interest rate up to 6% with the High Value Premium Savers Account/TARA High Value Premium Savers Account.

8. Does a customer offer reward points against debit card expenditure?

Yes, a customer can earn reward points with their debit card. Moreover, a customer can earn double reward points with a VISA Multi-currency Signature Debit card.

9. How can a customer redeem their reward points on debit/credit cards?

A customer can redeem their reward points through our mobile banking app (Astha) within a minute, or s/he can also call our Call Center.

10. Can a customer use debit card to access the airport lounge?

Yes, a customer can avail a complimentary unlimited BALAKA lounge access with three guests with their Premium Banking debit cards.

11. Are there any other benefits with Premium Banking debit cards?

Yes, a customer can enjoy BOGO offers at 5-star hotels with their Premium Banking debit cards throughout the year.

12. Can a customer use a PB debit card in an RFCD account?

Ans: If a customer opens an RFCD account and maintains an equivalent balance to the Premium Banking threshold, then s/he needs to open a BDT account (does not necessarily need to preserve the PB threshold in the BDT account also). The customer will receive a Premium Banking-branded debit card against their BDT account.

13. Can Mariners open an account under the Premium Banking Segment? If yes, can Mariners avail Premium Banking cards?

Yes, for Mariners under FCY account and Non-Resident Foreign Currency Account customers maintaining the required PB equivalent threshold (under PB cost center) will receive a PB-branded VISA International Debit Card.

Retail FCY Mariner Account (USD) – comes with a PB-branded International Debit Card
Local Currency Deposit Account (BDT can be any account) – comes with a Multi-Currency Debit Card*

If the customer already has a BDT account with BRAC Bank, it can be linked to your new FCY account.

*If the customer opens an account under the PB cost center and maintains the Premium Banking threshold, then mariners will receive:

VISA multi-currency Platinum debit card (for Premium Banking Segment)

14. If a Non-Resident Bangladeshi customer opens an FCY account under the PB segment, what benefits will they receive?

As an NRB customer can only open a FCY account, they will receive a PB-branded VISA International Debit Card. The customer cannot access the BALAKA lounge with a VISA International Debit Card. But they are eligible for all other Value-Added Services (VAS) if they maintains the equivalent balance to Premium Banking or Premium Banking Plus segment under the Premium Banking segment.
